A New Magical Adventure Awaits In Ni No Kuni 2

In 2013, Level-5, famed makers of exceptional JRPGs, teamed up with Studio Ghibli to release a collaborative project between the two, exclusively for Playstation 3. The result of which was Ni No Kuni: Wraith of the White Witch, a JRPG that captured the imaginative minds of Studio Ghibli with Level-5’s sound JRPG mechanics.

Fast forward to 2015 and a new entry to the beloved franchise was announced on PSX with Ni No Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom.

Ni No Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom

The return of Level-5’s and Studio Ghibli’s emotional JRPG came as quite the surprise announcement for the audiences at Playstation Experience 2015 keynote presentation. With a new story and a new set of characters, it seems that Ni No Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom will be its own adventure, separate from the previous iteration.

Ni No Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom follows the adventure of Evan, a young boy who is crowned king and must save his kingdom from being swallowed by darkness and prove himself worthy of being king. Joining Evan’s adventure is Roland, a man from another world who seems to be helping Evan with the fight against the darkness.

One of the things that fans fell in love with in Ni No Kuni is the exquisite animation and art direction that Studio Ghibli managed to translate into the game. Ni No Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom follows that tradition with some of the best animation and art direction around for a JRPG. Check out the trailer below to see the game in action.

Currently, no release date have been announced for Ni No Kuni II: Kingdom Revenant. Given that Ni No Kuni: Wraith of the White Witch took five years to be released, let’s hope that Ni No Kuni II: Kingdom Revenant comes out earlier than that. Stay tuned for more updates at OffGamers.com!
