A Powerful And Heart Wrenching Ad About Single Women In China

Japanese skincare brand SK-II released a powerful ad/documentary about single Chinese women that are labeled as “Sheng Nu” or “leftover women”.

A heart-wrenching and moving campaign, the film gave insight into the women who are ostracised and alienated due to the stigma of being a single woman at a certain age in China’s still traditional culture.

The four-minute film ends with a touching moment of the women reaffirming their independence and freedom to live the way they want and that to be single is not a negative stigma.
