Blizzard Punishes World of Warcraft Players for Trading Raid Runs for Cash.

Blizzard recently announced on the official forums that they have suspended World of Warcraft players for violating the game’s ‘Terms of Use’ by offering dungeon runs services for cash.

We’ve recently taken action against a number of accounts that were actively participating in and/or advertising the sale of in-game raid or dungeon clears in exchange for real-world currency. Such behavior is a clear violation of the World of Warcraft Terms of Use.
Of the players affected, many were members of top raiding guilds. We want to be clear that everyone we’ve taken action against had illustrated full knowledge and intent to violate the Terms of Use. Going forward, in order to ensure fair play and competitive integrity, we’ll be monitoring these activities much more closely in order to make sure that the rules are being followed. This includes selling services for real money, account-sharing, and other violations.

Plenty of top raiding guilds members happen to be involved with the practice of clearing dungeons in exchange for money and Blizzard treated them without mercy by suspending their game accounts. It’s a common practice for players to purchase services with real money to stay ahead of competitions in a game like World of Warcraft. Players usually pays thousands of dollars for a complete run on Mythic raid clear.

Blizzard has kept track this sort of activities for a long time and they certainly will monitor them even closer now, to make sure fair play is in order.
