Heroes of the Storm To Get New Maps and Characters In Machines of War

Blizzard has announced the next event for Heroes of the Storm with the StarCraft-centric Machines of War, which will see new maps, characters, skins, and more, coming to the MOBA.

Revealed at Gamescom, the event will see Alarak from StarCraft and Zarya from Overwatch, a melee assassin and ranged warrior respectively, joining the list of heroes. Blizzard notes that Zarya transition into Heroes of the Storm will be similar to another Overwatch character, Tracer, whereby most of her abilities from the main game will remain intact.

In addition to the characters, two new battlegrounds will be available for the event. The StarCraft-themed Braxis Holdout and Warhead Junction will both have their own unique mechanics for players to experience when it goes live.

Finally, a new legendary skin will be available for the Queen of Blades with “Queen of the Ghosts Kerrigan” skin which you can see in action with the “in Development” video for Machines of War.
