Indie Game Hyper Light Drifter is Switch’s New Addition

Nintendo has announced to the press that the company is bringing in Hyper Light Drifter to Switch this summer. The indie game for the hybrid console is a retro-styled action game that attained widespread acclaim following its 2016 release.

Players can explore a beautiful, vast and ruined world riddled with unknown dangers and lost technologies in Hyper Light Drifter. The 2D Action RPG is designed with the best 8-bit and 16-bit classics, along with modernized mechanics and designs on a much grander scale.

Nintendo fans will finally have the opportunity to play Hyper Light Drifter, just over two years since its first release. Hyper Light Drifter is the second Switch game developed with YoYo Games’ GameMaker Studio tool, where game developers can export their work directly to the Switch architecture with ease.

Two more indie games are expected to release on Switch are Nidhogg 2 and Crashlands. These two game will arrive on the hybrid console later this year.
