It’s a Thriller of a Ride With Until Dawn: Rush of Blood For Playstation VR

Announced officially at Sony’s Paris Games Week conference, Supermassive Games is bringing Until Dawn onto the Playstation VR with Until Dawn: Rush of Blood, an on-rails first-person roller coaster shooter that looks to capitalize on the virtual reality headset, developed by Sony, with the terrifying horrors that Until Dawn is known for.

Until Dawn Rush of Blood

Serving as a spin-off to the main game, Rush of Blood will put players directly in the seat of Until Dawn’s horrors as they ride on a mine cart, shooting down enemies and making choices. Yep, that’s right, just like in the original game, Rush of Blood will integrate the Butterfly Effect mechanism of Until Dawn whereby decisions that you make in the game will have consequences that ripples across the game’s story.

Fans of Until Dawn will notice familiar characters, such as the Psycho and the Wendigo, making an appearance in the game, Though it seems unlikely that the original cast of Until Dawn will be making an appearance as the game takes place in the perspective of the players.

On a blog post at Playstation Blog by Simon Harris, executive producer at Supermassive Games. He noted that Rush of Blood started production during the development of Until Dawn. The quick turnaround for the two games were accounted to the fact that they were both worked on at the same time.

Currently, no specific release date has been revealed by the developers or Sony, but it’s safe to assume that the game will come out when Playstation VR is released. As of right now, the Playstation VR is expected to come in 2016, which is a safe bet as to when Until Dawn: Rush of Blood will come out.
