Mafia II And Prey Received Backward Compatibility Upgrade

Microsoft has announced two more games that has been added to Xbox One’s backward-compatibility list and this time the company has included Mafia 2 and the original 2006 Prey.

Mafia II is a third-person shooter where players can play as Vito Scaletta in Mafia 2, the protagonist that makes a name for himself on the streets of Empire Bay as someone who can be trusted to get a job done. Scaletta and his longtime friend Joe, bands together to prove themselves to the Mafia, rising the ranks of the Italian crime organization and learn about the importance of family, wealth and power. The game was well-received by the gaming community for its story and its realistic approach to the open-world crime game when compared to Grand Theft Auto.

Prey’s story is focused on Cherokee Domasi “Tommy” Tawodi as he, his girlfriend, and grandfather are abducted aboard an alien spaceship known as The Sphere as it consumes material, both inanimate and living, from Earth in order to sustain itself. Tommy’s Cherokee past allows him to let his spirit roam freely at times, and gives Tommy an edge in his attempt to stop the Sphere.

Both game’s backward-compatibility status on Xbox One means you could just slot in the original Xbox 360 disc and start playing the game on your console or access it digitally from the Xbox games library.
