Mass Effect: Andromeda Gets A 5-Minute Combat Video

Developer Bioware released a new gameplay video for Mass Effect: Andromeda that provides a better look at both gunplay and special abilities in this five and a half minutes’ worth of third-person combat.

In Mass Effect: Andromeda, you are the Pathfinder – the ultimate adventurer in a vast, unexplored galaxy on a mission to find a new home for humanity. You’ll visit untamed worlds, make lasting relationships with new companions, and face some of the most dangerous challenges the Andromeda galaxy has to offer.
In our first deep-dive gameplay video, we’re going to take you through the weapons and skills that you’ll become familiar with when the game launches on March 21.

The narrative introduces the new jump-jet feature that allows players to jump, evade and even hover in mid-air. Another new addition to Mass Effect: Andromeda is the dynamic cover system where players can now take cover behind almost anything, a huge improvement compared to the previous Mass Effect series.

Speaking of combat, there are four categories of firearms: pistols, shotguns, sniper and assault rifles. For close-quarters encounters, melee weapons will also be available in-game. The good news is that the guns are not restricted to any particular class, you can choose to be an biotic class with a sniper rifle or a tech with assault rifles, all this freedom allows you to play the game according to your gameplay style.

Mass Effect: Andromeda is set to debut March 21st on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. If you want to play this game five days earlier, you can do so by subscribing to EA Access or Origin Access.
