Minecraft-like Lego Worlds Sets February Launch on Consoles and PC

Warner Bros announced today that the Minecraft-like game ‘Lego Worlds’ is heading to the consoles and early access for PC is available via Steam for $14.99. The fully open-world sandbox game will officially launch on February 21, 2017 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Warner Bros. released the first information on Lego Worlds first DLC pack called ‘Lego Agents’ which features extra characters, vehicles and weapons from the discontinued spy-like theme from 2008. Lego Agents are an elite team of secret agents who utilize state-of-the-art technology to prevent crimes committed by Dr. Inferno, who runs an international crime syndicate.

The expansion is exclusive to PlayStation 4 for the first 90 days once it’s out. Developed by Traveller’s Tales Games and publish by Warner Bros, the gameplay aspects of Lego Worlds open environment of procedurally-generated worlds made entirely of Lego bricks is quite similar to Mojang’s Minecraft. The game comes with day and night cycle and players will have an endless world to explore. You could join your friend’s worlds or play via split screen in building Lego blocks, uncovering quests to embark upon and even sculpting a new world together in its multiplayer features.

Players can literally build anything they can imagine and the creatures in-game will interact with each other as well as the player in unexpected ways. From cowboys riding giraffes to vampires scaring polar bears, to steamrollers, racing cars, and colossal digging machines, there are always interesting and exciting ways for players to explore the vast worlds. Go on a quest for a king, protect a farmer from a zombie invasion or build a home for a caveman, there are always new things to discover as you explore each new world.
