Monster Hunter: World Gets Free DLC

Creative director Ryozo Tsujimoto confirms that Monster Hunter: World’s downloadable content will remain free, and Capcom will not be offering paid DLC for now.

The company does seem to be contemplating some changes since console tend to be always online. Tsujimoto take on how downloadable content is handled on the console for Monster Hunter World:

“On portable, you are not always online, so you have to have a system in place where people will download the quests or data when they are at home then play when they are out,” Tsujimoto said. “Now with the console, we can rely on you being online whenever you’re on.”

Monster Hunter: World will launch for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 in 2018.
