Nintendo Switch Online Service Adds 20 Classic NES Games

Nintendo’s online service for the Switch will comprise access to a choice of classic games from the NES era will be available in September. Nintendo has announced a number of the games which are going to be included as part of the Nintendo Switch Online classic games selection.

The 10 upcoming NES titles for Nintendo Switch Online:

– The Legend of Zelda
– Donkey Kong
– Super Mario Bros.
– Super Mario Bros. 3
– Dr. Mario
– Ice Climber
– Balloon Fight
– Mario Bros.
– Tennis
– Soccer

To subscribe, it will cost $3.99 per month, for three months is $7.99, $20 per year, and $34.99 per year for a family of up to eight people. The family package even works on multiple Switch devices. But the biggest additions of the Nintendo Switch Online come in the form of the Nintendo Entertainment System compilation and cloud saves.

Subscribers will have access to ‘ES – Nintendo Switch Online, a compilation of classic NES games. The collection will initially include 20 games, with more added on a regular basis. At launch, previously announced games Balloon Fight, Dr. Mario and Super Mario Bros. 3 will be joined by Donkey Kong, Ice Climber, The Legend of Zelda, Mario Bros., Soccer, Super Mario Bros. and Tennis. An additional 10 launch games will be announced in the future.

The NES games will include online play, such as online competitive or cooperative multiplayer as part of Nintendo Switch Online. Players can watch their friend’s play on single-player games online, and also pass the controller at any time. Every classic NES game will support voice chat via the Nintendo Switch Online smartphone app. It will also be possible to access these games while offline.
