Overwatch Big Patch To Fix Console Issues

Overwatch players have been experiencing problems with the reading’s on the console’s thumbstick movement since the game was launch back in May 2016. Blizzard hopes to address the on-going issue with its next patch updates which is now available for testing on their Public Test Region.

You could revert to the previous settings, but the Dual-Zone mode will be the new default mode.

Here’s Blizzard‘s take on this matter.

“The vast majority of the thumbstick’s range moves with reduced sensitivity and relatively high acceleration. However, when the thumbstick crosses to the outer 10 per cent of its range, it will move with high sensitivity and relatively low acceleration. “This mode will allow for more precise aiming, while still allowing players to turn around quickly.” The old mode is known as the Exponential Ramp mode. For reference, here is Blizzard’s explanation of it: “As the thumbstick moves toward the outside of its range, the sensitivity is ramped up exponentially. The acceleration remains relatively high throughout.”

There’s no mention on the patch’s release date so far and since the PTR is only available to the PC users, it’s weird coming from Blizzard knowing the fact that the Dual-Zone mode is specifically brought out to improve the gameplay experience for the console players.

If you do not have access to a credit card or PayPal, alternatively you could buy Battlenet balance card to pay for the Overwatch’s loot boxes.
