PC Gamers Might Get Rise Of The Tomb Raider Soon

Could PC Gamers be looking at a PC release of Rise of the Tomb Raider very soon? If reports from Gamespot is to be believed, we might be seeing the critically lauded but commercially troubled title as soon as January 2016.

Rise of the Tomb Raider Steam

In a listing page from Steam, the latest adventure of Lara Croft was shown to be available in January 2016. While no specific dates were given, and seeing how January is right around the corner, Rise of the Tomb Raider could be coming sooner than later for PC Gamers on Steam.

Previously, Amazon listed the release for Rise of the Tomb Raider in January 29th, 2016, but more often than not, it’s often just a placeholder date for the online retailer. However, with Steam also listing the title’s release in January 2016 and Square Enix mentioned that an early 2016 release was planned for the PC version of Rise of the Tomb Raider.

Rise of the Tomb Raider 2016 PC

A speedy release for the PC version of Rise of the Tomb Raider would be in the best interest of Square Enix and developer Crystal Dynamics as sales were evidently lacklustre when the game was released on November 10th for Xbox One and Xbox 360. Part of the reason for Rise of the Tomb Raider‘s weak sales was due to it being available exclusively on Microsoft’s platforms, and also for the little fact that it comes out on the same day as the colossus Fallout 4.

With gamers finally getting out the Fallout 4 lull, a re-release of Rise of the Tomb Raider on PC could provide the boost in sales that Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics sorely needs. If anything, it’ll definitely get the game into the mindshare of gamers again.

Rise of the Tomb Raider 2016

Rise of the Tomb Raider is currently available for Xbox One and Xbox 360. A PC version is expected to come early 2016 while the Playstation 4 version is scheduled for a Holiday 2016 release.
