Star Wars Battlefront Beta Extended Plus Heroes and Villans Leaked

The battle between the Rebels and the Empire wages on in the icy tundras of Planet Hoth. And now, EA and DICE wants as many fans to get in on the fun because they have just announced an extension for the Star Wars: Battlefront beta for one more day.

Although the extended date means more time for players to enjoy the world of Battlefront, the main purpose is to perform a technical “stress” test for the people at DICE and EA. So those that are playing might experience connectivity issues beginning from Monday 12th October till the 13th. Mathew Everett, community manager of the official Star Wars Battlefront forums posted the following:

“Hope you’re enjoying the Star Wars Battlefront beta and thank you for playing – every time you log on, it’s helping us ensure the experience is going to be great at launch. As we get into the late stages of the beta, we will begin conducting further technical test on our infrastructure.

These additional tests will start on Monday, October 12 and will run thru Tuesday, October 13th, which will add an additional day to the open Beta. These tests are to help us find some extreme scenarios, and that means some players may experience occasional issues such as being kicked from the game or losing connectivity. This is all being done in the name of shoring up our infrastructure before we launch on November 17th.

Please continue to provide your feedback around the Beta and we look forward to seeing you on the Battlefront in November.”

This should come as great news for all because, with more testing, we can expect a  smoother online experience once the game ships in November. Plus, that added stability will be needed if players want to try out the new heroes and villains which were leaked by Reddit users and beta testers.

Currently, only Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader, and Boba Fett are playable in the beta. But, with some digging, Reddit users managed to unearth audio files for Han Solo, Princess Leia, and Emperor Palpatine. While it doesn’t exactly confirms them as playable characters, the fact that these characters will be in the game itself is quite promising.

Star Wars Battlefront is scheduled for release on November 17th and will come to Playstation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The game is currently in open Beta and is available for download on all platforms until November 13th.
