Time Bending Quantum Break Will Come To PC As Well

The Xbox One exclusive title, Quantum Break, is coming to PC as a leaked PC rating for the game and an official announcement by Aaron Greenberg. The catch? It’s only available on the Windows Store.

Quantum Break Combat

Both the PC and Xbox One version will be released simultaneously on April 5th, as informed by Remedy Entertainment and Microsoft. While it’s great that PC players will now be able to enjoy the game as well, the news was met with disapproval by loyal Xbox fans. Greenberg responded to the reactions on the Major Nelson podcast.

“People should know, Xbox is a big priority and a huge commitment.” He continued, “please do not let the fact that we are also launching a game on the same day on Windows 10 change your perspective on the importance of the console business [or] our commitment to innovating on console.”

Ever since its reveal, Quantum Break has always been thought of as a Xbox One exclusive. The fact that it will come to PC makes it, not a Xbox One exclusive title anymore, which have upset some Xbox fans.

Despite being met with a fairly negative response, the news of a PC version shouldn’t dissuade fans from picking up the time-bending shooter. IGN recently released a preview that showcased the gunplay and time-bending mechanics with Quantum Break looking polished as ever.

And to make the game more enticing for fans, Microsoft announced that a free copy of Quantum Break for Windows 10 edition will be given to those that pre-order the game digitally before April 4th.

As if that’s not enough, Remedy Entertainment has also announced that a digital copy of Alan Wake, alongside its DLCs, will be included for those that pre-order the physical copy. You can even pick up the Xbox One Special Edition Quantum Break Bundle that comes with the game and a digital copy of Alan Wake plus its DLC. The console will be a 500GB Cirrus White console wth a matching controller.
