World of Warcraft Legion Concurrent User Is the Highest “In Recent Memory”

Engaging from PAX West panel live stream, Blizzard revealed that its latest WoW installment achieved expectations as they manage to increase the concurrent player count to its highest point “in recent memory”.

The World of Warcraft community has returned to renew their subscriptions and be a part of a solid expansion release, The Legion.

“We knew this expansion was going to be something for the books, but reception has just blown us away,” Blizzard revealed during a panel at PAX West – as reported by PCGamesN.

“The early reviews are coming in, they’re really positive. Fan reception has been phenomenal.

“Concurrency – we’ve had to check and triple check our numbers, because it’s the highest they’ve been in recent memory. Several years, for sure.”

Even though Blizzard claims its concurrent player number is high, but it doesn’t say anything about whether the number of subscribers have gone up as well. Blizzard stops reporting WoW subscriber numbers long ago and it’s difficult to measure how successful Legion is.

Ahead of the release of World of Warcraft: Legion, Blizzard has announced the expansion’s first patch release – Patch 7.1 “Return to Karazhan”.

The release date remains unknown for now but WoW community speculated that the patch will be available in October.
