The following is the very latest Order of Battle intelligence for the frontline war machines and soldiers spearheading the Bane's advance in this sector. As always, the information contained within this report is subject to additions and/or modifications.
Thrax Soldier: "Killing Bio-Machines"
Thrax soldiers are trained for one thing and one thing only: War. Quick, agile and extremely aggressive, they are bio-engineered for optimal battlefield survivability and performance, making them the main offensive weapon of the Bane military machine. Though highly motivated and used in great numbers, the average Thrax Soldier lacks the initiative and intelligence for independent tactical decision making. In-relying on lieutenants for direction and coordination. Though often dismissed as "cannon fodder" even by their own leaders, Thrax Soldiers are very effective when used as airborne shock troops, a function at which they excel. Thrax Soldiers can also be found deployed as a low level security forces. The standard weapons suite of the Thrax Soldier includes the Plasma Assault Rifle, the Assault Pistol and Rocket
Stalker: "Battlefield Giants"
When it comes to evoking terror on the battlefield, the mechanical Bane Stalker has no equal. Launched from orbiting assault ships like meteorites, the Stalkers impact targeted areas with devastating force. Once deployed on the surface, they assume their characteristic raised three-legged profile. With their wide frontal fields of fire and excellent lines of sight, the Stalkers are formidable weapons used for maintaining skirmish lines, to support infantry, and clear large zones of enemy forces. Each Stalker is armed with both a fixed frontal gun and a guided plasma bomb (or "plasma egg"), and is well suited for open field or small growth forest operations. Stalkers are rarely deployed in urban or icy environments. Though slow and easily targeted, Stalkers can withstand massive amounts of damage.
Predator: "Death from Above"
Predators are the mechanical airborne weapons of the Bane army. Whether launched from orbit or from secured ground locations, the Predator is a swing-role (in-flight multi-mission ready) offensive platform that is capable of inflicting aggressive and devastating ground attacks. Equipped with forward-mounted searchlights and fixed front gun turrets, Predators are ideally suited for forward edge of battle area reconnaissance, suppression of enemy air and ground defenses and close air to ground support. While slow and not particularly agile or intelligent, they can withstand an enormous amount of damage.The only effective defense against a Predator is to seek secure cover.
