Apex Legends’ Developers Caused PR Nightmare For Calling Their Fans Ass-Hats

Respawn developers from Apex Legends resorted to calling their fans ‘ass-hats’ and ‘freeloaders’ on Reddit during an attempt to apologize for the mistakes they have caused with the Iron Crown event.

The developers promised that they will be adding and rotating all twelve of the event-exclusive Legendary items into the store over the course of the final week of the event for the regular Legendary skin cost of 1,800 Apex Coins. Players will still be able to purchase Iron Crown Apex Packs for 700 Apex Coins if they choose. Fans were outraged when Apex players have to fork out huge amount of money in order to open all packs that comes with set items.

Responding to overwhelming criticism to an official apology from the game’s recent controversial microtransaction changes in the Iron Crown event, two Respawn developers fired back with insults, sarcastic comments and attacks on the gaming community. Many of the developers’ comments have been deleted at this time of writing.
