Blizzards Drops The Nerf Hammer On Torbjörn For Consoles

If you’re of the many that always lament facing a squad of Torbjörn in Overwatch on consoles, lament no more! Blizzard is set to nerf the turret-building dwarf in an upcoming July update for consoles.

Torbjörn Overwatch Nerf

Blizzard’s Jeff Kaplan wrote to players in a Reddit post about the upcoming nerf, in response to players complaining about Torbjörn’s overpowered turret ability on consoles. Kaplan wrote “In an upcoming patch, we will reduce the damage done by Torbjörn’s turret by 30% on Xbox One and PS4. PC will remain unchanged”.

The update is expected to drop “ETA – Mid to late July depending on 1st party certification times.”

Other than Bastion, Torbjörn is the other Overwatch character that players often complain about on consoles due to his ability to deploy turrets that fire at pinpoint accuracy. Something that console players lack without the aid of a mouse and keyboard.

Hopefully, this update would decrease the spamming of Torbjörn and allows for a more balanced playing field among console players.

Overwatch is available now on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Need a copy of Overwatch for PC? OffGamers has got you covered! Purchase your copy of Overwatch Origins PC Edition at OffGamers and receive your codes instantaneously!
