Deepsilver Confirms Dead Island 2 Still In Development

When Dead Island 2 was first announced in 2014, Sumo Digital would be in charge of development for the sequel. However, the news of the sequel has been minimal till date.

Deep Silver recently released a new tower defense game for mobile using the Dead Island’s label, it’s free-to-play at the moment and available on both Android and iOS. As a result of this release, fans were left wondering whether Dead Island 2 is still in the works. The game’s official Twitter account provided a response to a fan’s tweet.

What’s going on is that it’s in development and we won’t be showing more until we’re ready. Appreciate the wait is painful, but Dead Island 2 is still coming.

Dead Island 2 has been affected with uncertainty and delays when it comes to its development and the game’s future was also in question after its former developer Yager Productions was dropped from working on Dead Island 2 and they left Deep Silver due to conflicting opinions on the project.
