Destiny 2 Is Heading To The PC?
Reports from Kotaku indicates that Bungie’s Destiny 2 will be coming to the PC in 2017. NeoGAF user benny_a has an inside source that claims Vicarious Visions, High Moon and others are currently co-developing on the next Destiny’s sequel.
Activision Publishing CEO Eric Hirshberg did revealed previously in a conference back in August that Bungie is currently working on their Destiny sequel.
“Activision Publishing, along with its partners at Bungie, expects to bring a large new expansion to Destiny in 2016 and to release a full game sequel in 2017,” the investor note reads. Activision also stated that 25 million players have logged more than 3 billion hours in Destiny.”
The management at Bungie wanted an entirely new game altogether for Destiny 2, leaving behind Destiny base game content. Rumor has it that a new “play-in destinations” feature will provide more towns, outposts, and quests for players to explore. All these improvements are made possible as Bungie will focus on the current-gen platforms like PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
The NeoGAF source also added that existing Destiny players are likely to be getting some form of perks for playing the vanilla.
