Destiny 2 Might Be Getting Cross Play Functionality Soon

Bungie is looking to implement cross-platform play in future where players will have the ability to use different hardware to play with each other simultaneously.

Destiny’s general manager Mark Noseworthy recently tweeted that:

Stadia as a platform doesn’t make implementing Cross Play any harder actually. We’re focused on Cross Save this year for all platforms. Cross Play is absolutely something we’re interested in doing some day, but we have a lot on our plate to chew through first!

Bungie announced that cross save will come to Destiny 2 with the upcoming Shadowkeep expansion and this could provide players the the ability to carry one player account across multiple platforms. Destiny 2’s Shadowkeep expansion is set to launch on September 17.
