The image on Twitter shows a freeway exit sign with the number 3, along with a date, March 28, and a location, Boston, MA. Interesting enough, Pax East 2019 is scheduled to take place on March 28 at Boston, Massachusetts. The subtle hint of the exit 3 could indicate that the Borderlands 3 reveal is happening this coming weeks.

The publisher is hosting the presentation at PAX theater on Thursday, March 28, in which it promises never-before-seen reveals, exclusives, and surprises. Randy Pitchford, the president of Gearbox, stated at PAX South 2015 that the studio was searching for new talents to help produce the next Borderlands. In 2018, Pitchford did mention at PAX West that Gearbox had been working on a project that everyone wants them to be working on. PAX East 2019 is scheduled from March 28-31, in Boston, Massachusetts.
