L.A. Noire Worth a Reinstall

la-noire

L.A. Noire is a neo-noir detective video game developed by Team Bondi and published by Rockstar Games. The game is available on Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and Microsoft Windows.

This game is set in 1947 Los Angeles and follows the story of protagonist Detective Cole Phelps and his post-World War II career in the Los Angels police department. Players will need to solve crime cases by investigating the crime scenes for clues, follow up leads and interrogate suspects. The success of this activities will impact how much of each case story is revealed.

This game utilized MotionScan technology to make the in-game performance capture stand out. This technology allows for a precise portrayal of facial expression which almost looks like real human emotion. Players are required to scrutinize the facial expressions and body language of the suspects, dissect and analyze them in order to solve the crime case. This technology also made the game stand out at the time.

Metacritic have rated this game 89 out of 100 based on 78 critics. Meanwhile, L.A. Noire scores 7.6 out 10 based on 920 rating. Not bad for a four year old game (released in 2011) and is definitely worth a reinstall.
