New Date For Uncharted 4 Pushes Back Its Release
Third’s time the charm. Hopefully. It seems that Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End will not be coming to April 26th, as previously announced. The news comes from a blog post by Sony Computer Entertainment CEO and President, Shawn Layden himself. Expect to grab Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End on May 10th, 2016.

The short post by Layden gave a direct reasoning as to why the highly anticipated sequel would be pushed back for two weeks from its original April 26th release date.
“In an effort to meet the considerable worldwide demand, and to ensure that all gamers worldwide have the opportunity to play the game on day one, we have chosen to postpone the launch of the game by two weeks to allow for extra manufacturing time.”
It seems that development for Uncharted 4 is more or less finished with the plans of making the game “go gold” by the end of March. This is basically a logistical delay as Sony intends to make enough copies for everyone when the game launches.
While it sucks that we have to wait a little bit longer for Drake’s final chapter, at least, we’ll know that the game is “phenomenal” as mentioned by Layden. Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End will now launch globally on May 10th and will come exclusively to Playstation 4.
