Overwatch Closed Beta Is Returning On February 9th
Heroes gear up! The Overwatch Closed Beta is officially returning on February 9th. Announced by Blizzard on their Battle.net blog, the delayed Closed Beta will come a slew of new features and upgrades when it goes live.
There were plenty of changes made based on the feedback and data from players who participated in the last beta on December. Here’s a list of the new features and updates added to the Closed Beta:
– An all-new progression system
– Two new maps, including a new game mode
– Several hero balance updates
– And a variety of Private Game updates, including full A.I. matches
When Overwatch underwent a break, Blizzard decided to do some technical tweaks on the game and take into account the feedback from the Closed Beta players. While there are definitely new updates to the game, a full patch note on the changes would give a better indication of the tweaks that Blizzard has made. o
Those who were part of the last beta will still have access to the February 9th Closed Beta. But, with the added content, it seems that Blizzard wants to recruit more players to join in on the fray and stress test the game as much as they can. Overwatch is expected for release on June 21st, 2016. Players can pre-purchase the game in multiple platforms. A PC-only digital edition will cost $39.99. A physical/digital Origins Edition will be available on PC, Playstation 4, and Xbox One for $59.99. The Limited Collector’s Edition will also be available on all platforms for $129.99.
