Rockstar Games Sold Over 17 Million Copies Of Red Dead Redemption 2 To Date

Red Dead Redemption 2 did so well that Take-Two Interactive reported its subsidiary company Rockstar Games has shipped over 17 million copies to retailers globally.

The game launches on October 26 and Rockstar managed to rake in an absurd $725 million in revenue during the game’s first three days of release. Based on the available report provided by Take-Two, assuming the PC port of Red Dead Redemption 2 is released along with the console version at the same time, the game could have broken Grand Theft Auto 5’s $1 billion sales record.

Furthermore, Rockstar has not provide an official statement whether the game is heading for the PC. The Wild West sequel has now launched on consoles, and it’s unlikely we’ll hear anything official about Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC this year.

For the time being, fans are looking forward to Red Dead Redemption 2 Online beta later this month, where players will have access to an interactive world filled with gang wars, havoc and tons of mini-games. GTA Online is a giant cash grab and you can bet that Rockstar is looking to repeat similar successes with Red Dead Redemption 2 Online.
