Screenshots For Fallout 4 Has Leaked On Playstation 4

As one of the most anticipated games of the year, Fallout 4‘s imminent release is at a fever pitch for fans of the game. Adding to that fever pitch is the leaked screenshots of Fallout 4 for the Playstation 4 that was recently posted by users on Reddit.

The screenshots, while did not give anything away storywise, does show the locations, game environments, weapons, your companion dog, and even the Pip-Boy. Gamespot reached out to Bethesda regarding the Fallout 4 leaked materials, but no official statements have been given.

While the leaked screenshots have definitely caused a furor within the gaming community, the biggest discussion seems to be about the graphics of Fallout 4, which had been a hot topic ever since the game was shown at E3 in June. Previously, Bethesda has stated that Fallout 4 will run on 1080p at 30fps for both Playstation 4 and Xbox One while the PC version will be unconstrained, compared to the console, provided that you have a strong enough computer.

In the leadup to its release, Bethesda has been showing the game with trailers, which, in motion looks great. However, with screenshots, textures that are often overlooked during gameplay trailers are often more prominent, especially if some of the models are not that great looking. While it’s not to say that Fallout 4 looks terrible in comparison to most current-gen games, it’s definitely not winning any awards for its visual fidelity.

However, what most gamers need to realize is that Fallout 4 is a massively scaled open world game, and to achieve the level of interactivity that often comes with a Fallout game, it makes sense for Bethesda to scale back the graphics a bit, to accommodate for all that’s going on in the world of Fallout.
