Start An Adventure In 2016 With Playstation Plus’ January Games

Sony is starting 2016 with a big bang for all Playstation Plus members with the recently announced games that will be available for free for the premium subscription service on January 2016.

The big hitters for January’s Free Playstation Plus games are notably Grim Fandango Remastered and Dragon Age: Origins. Two big adventure games that will surely keep players busy throughout the month. But that’s not all that’s coming to Playstation Plus. Here’s the full lineup from the Playstation Blog:

- Dragon Age: Origins (Playstation 3)
- Grim Fandango Remastered (Playstation 4 / Playstation Vita)
- Hardware: Rivals (Playstation 4)
- Legends of War Patton (Playstation Vita)
- Medal of Honor Warfighter (Playstation 3)
- Nihilumbra (Playstation Vita)

Dragon Age: Origins is the first release from BioWare that started the massively popular Dragon Age series. While it’s been out for quite some time (it was released in 2009), plenty of gamers haven’t dipped their toes in the Action-RPG title as the game’s deep mechanic can be a bit overwhelming to some. Because of that, many gamers are missing out one of the best iteration of the Dragon Age franchise. Now, there’s no excuse to give it a try since it’ll be free for Playstation Plus users.

Grim Fandango PS Plus

The other big title that gamers can look forward to, is Grim Fandango Remastered, a classic point-and-click adventure made by Tim Schafer and re-released for the modern gamer. Available for Playstation 4 and Playstation Vita, Grim Fandango was beloved by gamers of old with its clever writing and witty jokes. It might take some getting used to for newer gamers due to its slightly dated puzzles, but once you get going, the story will definitely keep you hooked.

A new debut is also coming to the Playstation Plus lineup with Hardware: Rivals, a vehicle-based combat game that’s a spiritual successor to the Playstation 2 game, Hardware: Online Arena. The game pits players against each in vehicular combat, either by a tank or a jeep, with plenty of arcade-style action. Get into the carnage with multiple maps, games modes, and special events.
