You Can Add More Games to Your Nintendo’s SNES Classic

Nintendo SNES Classic owners ought to be pleased to learn that you can input more games into your mini retro console. A Russian coder that goes by the name of Cluster, initially cracked the NES Classic Edition, has now figured out a way to side-load more games into the SNES Classic Edition through his Hakchi tool.

With the launch of Hakchi v2.20, users may increase their options on the tiny SNES, which includes just 21 games pre-installed. In reality, the emulator will even run NES titles. You can get the working emulator files here.

There are release notes and if you want to see how it all works or potentially do this with your own device. Cluster did mention that the in-built emulator can store up to 75 percent of SNES games and there are workarounds for those that don’t run. The SNES Classic is also capable of running sideloaded NES titles, too.

Do consider the fact that cracking your console more than likely undermines its warranty.
